Tides River Lodge lies on the banks of the Breede River, near Malgas, in the Cape. A short, scenic two and a half hour trip from Cape Town and only half an hour from Swellendam on the way to the Garden Route.
Tides is an oasis in the dry wheat lands of the Overberg, an “off the beaten track” destination for those who enjoy something different. Tides Lodge is located in a sheltered cove with an island directly in front of the property. Tides is without doubt one of the most unique and pristine locations on the Breede River. Next door to Malgas, Tides Lodge offers something for everyone and the activities available range from relaxing in a deck chair and enjoying the peaceful tranquillity of the Breede River to traversing the challenging 4X4 trails of the Overberg.
Tides offers five self-catering lodges positioned right on the banks of the Breede River.
Each of the self-contained self-catering river lodges is meters from the water, has braai facilities verandas and fully equipped kitchens. We provide all linen, all you need is to bring is yourselves and your food!
All our houses are self-catering and have fully equipped kitchen facilities including cookers, fridges, microwaves and all utensils. Linen is provided.
We have a riverside Lapa where you can braai and meet other guests or book the whole lodge and have a private party.
