Relax in the plunge pool next to the farm porch. Or, in winter, curl up in front of the closed-combustion (“morso”) fireplace whilst reading or socialising around the intimate bar. Go for a run or stroll down to the river – the views and vegetation are worth the effort. Guests may also choose to canoe on the farm dam, or cycle through the farmlands.
Four beautifully appointed bedrooms – 2 families can live with ease in the house with own lounging areas and fireplaces. The long hallway connects the rooms with the entertaining spaces, resting and reclining areas, a fabulously large farm style kitchen, and dining area that leads out onto the porch. The Lapa, dubbed “the Colosseum”, is one of the best spots of the property, adding an all-important pizza oven into the culinary mix for those necessary evenings of creative competitiveness when it’s a tough call over who made the best.

Every day there’s something different and exciting to explore. And that’s the fun of it. When you’re not about the house and its myriad spaces, it’s onto the water to perfect those water-skiing tricks, tackle the fishing rods, climb aboard the sails, the rubber ducks, the tubes and SUP’s, and simply let the rapids of the river do the entertaining – the beach area is one of its kind on the Breede River which leans to hours of fun for kids. When it’s time to leave Inhoek farm, there’s a side of you that will not join you on the journey home. It’ll wait patiently by the river, with the bishops and the bullrushes, the falcons and the fish eagles, until you return.
