Five gorgeous bedrooms – all with own entrances of which some have river views, some with on-suite bathrooms – span the property amongst pockets of entertaining spaces, separate kids play room and resting and reclining areas, a fabulous open-plan kitchen and dining area that leads out onto the monumental deck with its Kolkol hot tub, sun loungers, comfy sofas and swinging chairs. Adding an all important pizza oven into the culinary mix for those necessary evenings of creative competitiveness when it’s a tough call over who made the best.

Every day there’s something different and exciting to explore. And that’s the fun of it. When you’re not about the house and its myriad spaces, it’s onto the water to perfect those water-skiing tricks, tackle the fishing and simply let the rapids of the river do the entertaining. When it’s time to leave West House, there’s a side of you that will not join you on the journey home. It’ll wait patiently by the river, with the bishops and the bulrushes, the falcons and the fish eagles, until you return.
